The college is affiliated to the North Orissa University the council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa and imparts teaching in the following subject.
1. Compulsory Subjects- English, MIL. (Oriya)
2. Optional Subjects - Any three of the following
History, Political Science, Economics, Oriya, Mathematics and Anthropology (History and Mathematics combination not permitted by CHSE)

(Effective for students admitted to first year +3 course during 2004-05 and after wards)
The three year degree course leading to the Bachlor's degree in Art/ Science / Commerce of North Orissa University shall be spread over a period of three academic years. A candidate for the Bachelor's Degree in Arts/
Science/Commerce shall be to pass following examinations.
i) First University Examination.
ii)Second University Examination.
iii)Final University Examination
A candidate shall be eligible to appear the second and final university
examination only if he/she has registered (filled up forms) for the first and second university examination respectively. He/She will be allowed to register his/her name for Final Examination if he/she has cleared 1stand 2ndexaminations respectively. However, his he results shall not be published unless he/she has passed in the first and second university examinations respectively.

1. A pass student shall offer one pass subject carrying 400 marks in
addition to compulsory and two elective papers.
2. A candidate (Hons) shal offer a Hons subject carrying 200 marks besides
compulsory subjects.
B.A. (PASS)
A. B.A. (Pass) student shall have to offer anyone of the following pass
subject carrying 400 marks each. Anthropology, Economics, History,
Political Science, Oriya.
B.A.(HONS)
A B.A. (Hons) student shall choose one of the following Honours subjects. Anthropology, Economics, History, Political Science, Oriya. A candidate (Hons) shall choose two elective subjects each carrying 200 marks.
COMPUSORY SUBJECTS - English-200; MIL/Alt. Eng. -200
Elective Subiect :
A - Either Indian Polity/ Landmark in History /Indian Economics.
Note - A student ( Hons / Pass) offering Political Science, History,
Economics shall not be allowed to take Indian Polity, Land marks Indian
History or Indian Economics respectively.
The Combination of (Hons/Pass) subjects in B.Sc.(Hons/Pass) - Seat
Capacity 80.
A candidate is free to choose any two subjects one as Honours and
other as pass from either of the following groups. It is to note that a
student of groups.
B- cannot offer chemistry as honours subject.
Group A - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Group B - Botany, Zoology, Chemistry.
Addition to this a student must have to take the following subjects which are compulsory for 1styear B.Sc.- English - 50, M.I.L.( 0) - 50.
